Sverrir Gunnarsson was born in Reykjavík in the year 1929. When he was five years old he moved to the country but was still in the winter time in school Austurbæjarskóli in Reykjavík. Sverrir went to Bændaskólinn in Hvanneyri agricultural-school in the year 1946-1948. Sverrir is former farmer in Hrosshagi in Biskupstungur and has been working in agricultural for over fifty years. Sverrir moved to Hveragerði in the year 2002. He had some training in woodworking-handcraft when he was a young boy. His work is mostly cutting in wood, making toys and tools out of wood and many other things.
