Steina Hlín Aðalsteinsdóttir was born in Reykjavík in the year 1937. Steina lived in Hveragerði from 1999 to 2002, and then she moved back to Reykjavík. But the year 2006 she came back to Hveragerði and has been living there sins then. She became member of the handcraft group ”Handverk og hugvit undir Hamri Hveragerði“ in 2006. Steina is self trained handcraft worker. She is always sawing and knitting and uses mostly Icelandic wool for her work. Now she is making churches which have lights inside.
