Hrönn Waltersdóttir was born in Reykjavík 23 October 1962. She has lived in Hveragerði since 1977 Hrönn is one of the founders of the group Local art, Hveragerði handcraft shop “Handverk og hugvit undir Hamri Hveragerði.” 

Hrönn is a very gifted artist and who  makes models- jewelries from silver and copper, she also works with clay and glass. She is a local artist who finds her inspiration in the wild plants and flowers found growing in and around Hveragerði. She uses various leaves and flowers in a delicate silver- work and process that has become her distinctive trade mark.
